Maria-Despoina Michalopoulou studied law at the Law School of the Democritus University of Thrace and she is currently a Corporate Law and Finance LLM candidate at the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She has completed a semester of studies at the Faculty of Law of the University of Strasbourg in France, through the Erasmus programme.

In addition, she has recently completed an internship at a law firm in Valletta, Malta working at the Shipping Department. She was also an intern at a Shipping Company in Piraeus focusing on Maritime and Corporate Law. During her undergraduate studies she has worked as a summer intern at Law Firms in Athens focusing on Commercial Law.

She speaks Greek (native language), she has excellent competence in English and French, possesses good command of Spanish and also has some knowledge of Russian.
