AG Law-Partner Professor Lia Athanasiou participated in the Tripartite Meeting between Swansea University, the University of Texas at Austin, and Athens Law School which took place on 10 April in London at the premises of the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (IALS).
The Meeting focused on the critical theme: “Climate Change, Transition and Path to Sustainability in the Shipping and Energy Sectors”. It is part of an agreement between the three universities to hold similar events in three jurisdictions (UK, USA and Greece) in the next two years and marks the beginning of a dynamic academic dialogue between the three universities.
Professor Athanassiou presented “The Use of Nuclear Energy in Shipping.” The panel, chaired by Paul Dean (Global Head of Shipping at HFW), featured distinguished speakers including Grant Hunter (BIMCO), Alessio Sbraga (HFW), and Neil Henderson (Gard).
