Marianthi Stathaki is a graduate from Athens Law School of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens and a lawyer, entitled to litigate before Supreme Court and the Council of the State.

Marianthi holds a Master’s degree in Comparative Public and European Law of the University Paris 1 Panthéon – Sorbonne and a PhD in Comparative Public Law from the same University. Her thesis, entitled “The Remuneration of the Administrative Counterparty in Public Contracts – A Comparative Study between French, Greek and German Law”, was graded with distinction of excellence and was awarded the prize for best thesis in European Law of the Franco-German University (Université franco-allemande). During the preparation of her thesis, she taught undergraduate Public Law tutorials at the University Paris 1 Panthéon – Sorbonne and visited as a researcher the Institute of European and German Administrative Law of the University of Heidelberg, with scholarships from the HESAM Université Foundation (international mobility scholarship “Claude Lévi-Strauss”) and the Franco-German University.

She teaches as a member of the Associate Academic Staff at the Department of Public Administration of the School of Social Sciences of the Hellenic Open University and writes articles on administrative law issues in Greece and abroad.

She is fluent in Greek (native language), English and French, and has a good knowledge of the German language.
