Celebrating 10 Years of the LL.M. in Maritime Law

Athens Law School celebrated the tenth anniversary of the Maritime Law specialization of its LL.M. Programme in Commercial Law at a commemorative event held at the Athens Megaron on 16 June 2026.

The LLM in Maritime Law, under the academic supervision of Partner, Professor Lia Athanassiou, has become a leading point of reference for specialized education in Maritime Law.

The event was attended by representatives of the government, the judiciary, academia and the maritime industry, as well as a large number of programme alumni. The panelists highlighted the contribution of specialized legal education to the continued development of the Greek shipping sector, while the International Group of P&I Clubs was honoured in recognition of its fruitful cooperation with the University, in the context of the MoU singed in 2024.
