17th IISTL’s International Colloquium

Professor Athanassiou participated as Speaker in the 17th IISTL’s International Colloquium organised by Swansea University (Institute of International Shipping and Trade Law) on the topic “Damages, Remedies and Recoveries in Shipping and Commercial Law” which was held on 6-7/9/2022. The topic of her contribution was “Shipping Operator’s Obligations & Liabilities under the EU Emission Reductions Strategy”. Among the speakers were distinguished academics  (Baris Soyer, George Leloudas, Andrew Tettenborn, Michael Sturley, Simon Baughen, Rhdian Thomas, Melis Ozdel, Andrea Miglionico, Aygun Mammadzada, Frank Stevens) as well as experienced lawyers and practitioners on the maritime sector (Florian Schacker, Simon Croall, Michael Biltoo, Grace Asemota, Josephine Davies, Andrew Preston, Peter MacDonald-Eggers, Adam Sanitt, Chriss Kidd).
