PLES 2022 – PENN ALUMNI
Professor L. Athanassiou participated as a Speaker in the Academic Session organized by Penn Law European Society (PLES) 2022 of the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School.
The Conference was initiated by Mr. Gideon Parchomovsky, Robert G. Fuller, Jr. Professor of Law at University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, with his speech on “A remedy for the least well-off: the case for preliminary damages” [forthcoming article in vol. 75 of the VANDERBILT LAW REVIEW journal (2022)]. Then, Mrs Athanassiou delivered a speech on the topic of “Ensuring an effective right to damages: the competition law paradigm”. Under the coordination of Ass. Prof. Emmanouil Mastromanolis – an Alumni himself, of the LLM of ’89 –an interesting exchange of views followed between participants. This year’s event took place on Saturday 18th June 2022, in Plaka, the old historical neighborhood of Athens.
